Dom Cândido Winery has its origins in 1875, when Luigi and Leonor, Cândido Valduga's grandparents, arrived in Brazilian territory, coming from the Italian Tyrol region, and settled in a colony in the region today known as Vale dos Vinhedos. Dom Cândido Winery was founded in 1986.
Soon the planting of the first vines began to produce wines for family consumption. However, over time, surplus production begins to be sold. And, since his childhood, Cândido Valduga has lived with the routine of winemaking, accompanying and helping his parents, Marco and Maria, with their tasks in the field, which ended up sparking his passion for grapes and wine, thus giving rise to a story of love that continues to pass from generation to generation.
