The History of Torcello begins with the arrival of the first Italian immigrant from the Valduga Family to Brazil (Marco Valduga), in 1875. With a lot of faith, work and perseverance, they explored virgin forests and built what we now know as Vale dos Vinhedos.
Vinícola Torcello was founded in 2000 by Rogério Carlos Valduga, fourth generation of the Valduga Family, and son of Remy Valduga (wine grower, writer and great-grandson of Marco). Torcello arose from Rogério's fascination with winemaking and his desire to revive the family tradition, which produced wine completely by hand in the basement of his home for his own consumption.
