One of the most renowned Brazilian winemakers, Antônio Agostinho Czarnobay has made wine his passion and profession for over 40 years.
Bodega Czarnobay is a project carried out by winemaker Mário Lucas Ieggli, who is dedicated to creating a few labels of unique quality from his vineyards in Encruzilhada do Sul, in the Serra do Sudeste. It makes its wines in the Old World style, emphasizing elegance and longevity.
The year 2012 marked the beginning of the commercialization of Bodega Czarnobay wines with the launch of the Pedregais Brut sparkling wine and the Alto das Figueiras Merlot wine. The lines refer to districts in the region, as well as Monte Castelo. In the following harvest, Touriga Nacional joins the Alto das Figueiras line.
After a few years, AAC Corte N°1 was launched, whose initials refer to the founder, an assemblage of grape varieties and vintages.
Our Monte Castelo Viognier and Monte Castelo Sauvignon Blanc whites complete our limited production of just over 15 thousand bottles of sparkling wines and wines per year.
